Sleek and Contemporary Design

Our Skyseal Slimline Lantern is specifically crafted for flat roofs, enhancing the visual appeal of your home. This innovative design merges robust, insulated construction with a sleek, modern appearance while meeting the highest standards of performance.

The dynamic architectural presence of the Slimline Roof Lantern surpasses that of a traditional flat rooflight. The increased internal room height adds volume to the space, creating a more expansive and welcoming atmosphere.

Ultra-Slim Aluminium Frame

The Skyseal Slimline Lantern features a sturdy Aluminium frame that enhances the structural integrity of the roof light unit, offering additional damage protection and glass support, while being hardly visible from the inside.

The sleek glazing bars contribute to a modern and clean aesthetic appearance, featuring ultra-thin glazing connectors to maximise light transmission, while ensuring the highest standards of performance.

Thermally-Efficient Double Glazing

This slimline lantern also provides a highly thermally-efficient double glazing unit with a U-value of 1.0W/m2K to help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature all year round while reducing energy costs.

Each unit comes with a standard self-clean glass coating*, preventing glass stains for longer and reducing the need for manual cleaning effort. Additionally, the stepped glazing unit facilitates easy water runoff.

Customisable Options

Our Skyseal Slimline Lantern is designed with customisation in mind - from the various internal and external frame colours, as well as glass tints and vents to suit your home needs.

Furthermore, Skyseal offers a wide choice of bespoke sizes ranging from 400mm x 600mm to 2000mm x 4000mm, so the roof lantern can seamlessly integrate into any building, while maximising the amount of natural light indoors.

*Pitched at 40 degrees for maximum structural integrity and to promote self-cleaning.

Slimline Frame Comparison

Why is an aluminium frame important?

Added Structural Strength

Our highly-developed Aluminium frame provides extra strength and rigidity, minimising structural movement in the skylight once installed, which significantly reduces the chances of failure.

Extra Damage Protection

The aluminium frame acts as a protective layer, encapsulating the glass at its weakest points to prevent accidental damage that would otherwise shatter the glass.

Enhanced Home Security

Incorporating tamper-proof fixings alongside silicone sealant provide added security to your home, ensuring it remains safe and protected.

Extra Glass Support

The frame is key in providing extra support to the glass, ensuring the glass stays in place in the event of damage or shattering.

Common questions

What is a Thermal Break?

A thermal break is a layer of low conductive material placed in the Aluminium frame of a skylight. This stops the internal side of the frame becoming cold and in turn eliminates condensation occurring internally on the frame.

What is a U-value?

Thermal transmittance, also known as U-value, is a measure of heat loss through the structure. It is measured in W/m2K. The lower the value, the better the insulation.

The UK Building Regulations require a maximum of 2.2 W/m2K in existing dwellings and an average of 1.2 - 1.7 W/m2K for new dwellings on rooflights.

What is Solar Heat Reflection?

It is the ability of a skylight to return solar energy to the atmosphere, effectively keeping the heat out. The percentage value represents the percentage of the total amount of heat that gets reflected off the skylight.

The higher the percentage, the more heat it reflects off.
