The Skyseal Laminated Glass Roof Lantern delivers high performance, fast lead times, and a sleek finish for flat roof applications. Ideal for a bathroom skylight or kitchen flat roof skylight on an existing roof, Skyseal helps maximise natural light, creating bright, inviting interiors.

Standard 4-pane glass roof lanterns are available in 3-5 days, while 6-pane and bespoke sizes are delivered in 10-15 days from the point roof lanterns start production. Suitable for residential projects and extensions, Skyseal is designed to enhance kitchens, living rooms, and bathrooms with lasting visual impact.

Contemporary and Classic Appearance

The Skyseal glass roof lantern range adds architectural character to modern and traditional spaces. As a specialist roof lantern manufacturer, Skyseal offers two design options:

  • 4-panel roof lanterns minimise the framework to maximise daylight, making them ideal for modern homes and south-facing rooms.

  • 6-panel roof lanterns feature additional glazing bars, providing a classic aesthetic that suits heritage properties.

Both styles provide the core benefits of roof lanterns, including increased daylight, improved ambience, and a stronger indoor–outdoor connection.

Laminated Glass for Enhanced Safety

Every Skyseal glass roof lantern features laminated glass on the inner pane as standard. This provides critical protection from falling glass in the event of accidental breakage.

Many roof lanterns on the market rely solely on toughened glass, which can shatter into dangerous fragments. Laminated glass significantly reduces this risk, making it the ideal choice for family homes or frequently used spaces, offering peace of mind.

Slim Aluminium Frame

The sleek, slim aluminium frame adds to the lantern's contemporary aesthetic while providing strength and durability. Each Skyseal lantern is designed to be of high quality, with attention to every detail, including the impact resistance of the laminated glass and how easily installers can accurately and securely install your roof lantern.

Type of Glazing & Glass Options

Selecting the correct type of glass and glazing is crucial for optimal performance and comfort, particularly when balancing light levels, thermal efficiency, and solar control.

  • Clear Self-Clean Glass – maximises light transmission and simplifies cleaning glass

  • Blue Solar Self-Clean Glass – reduces solar gain, ideal for south-facing rooms.

Low-e solar coatings reflect heat efficiently while still allowing generous daylight to enter, with performance that may vary depending on orientation, room usage, and glass specification.

Planning Permission & Permitted Development

In most cases, installing a glass roof lantern on a flat roof falls under permitted development, particularly for rear extensions and single-storey projects. However, planning permission may be required for listed buildings, conservation areas, or significant alterations to these areas.

We always recommend checking with your local authority before installation to confirm compliance with planning permission requirements.

Glass Roof Lanterns Cost & Bespoke Sizes

The Skyseal range offers excellent value across both standard and bespoke options. While roof lanterns vary in size, glazing specification, and frame colour, our streamlined manufacturing process ensures competitive pricing without compromising quality.

Bespoke sizes are available to suit your project requirements and can be manufactured to precise external measurements. An upstand width of at least 85mm is recommended.

Skyseal Laminated Glass Roof Lantern

Contemporary and Classic Appearance

Our Skyseal Roof Lantern can provide you with additional visual interest to key living and dining areas with a choice of a contemporary 4 panel Lantern or a more traditional 6 panel configuration, complementing any style of property.

Our Contemporary 4 panel roof lantern design minimises the structure to maximise the daylight, while our Classic 6 panel design features additional glazing bars for a more traditional style.

Quick Lead Time

Our Skyseal Roof Lanterns have short lead times to help get your roof lanterns on your roof as soon as possible. Our standard sized 4 pane roof lanterns have a lead time of just 3-5 days, while our standard 6 pane and all bespoke sizes have a lead time of 10-15 days.

Laminated Glass

Our Skyseal products only have glazing units with laminated inner panes for protection from falling glass if accidentally broken.

Not all roof lanterns on the market have laminated glass panes. Instead, they have toughened glass which has an increased risk of injury to those below it if broken.

Engineered For Performance

Slim Aluminium Frame

Our slimline aluminium frames are designed to maximise the amount of light to flow into your space. They were optimised to work in conjunction with the thermally efficient double-glazed units, reducing heat loss and protecting the energy efficiency of your home.

Safety and Protection

Our roof lantern is designed to not only look better but to perform better in terms of lower maintenance and better safety. The precision castings at all junctions provide premium appearance, strength, weathertightness and security

Easy Installation

Expertly designed to minimise the number of parts, maximising the ease of fitting, for efficiency now and throughout the lifetime of the lantern. Precision design removes the need for sealants in installation, apart from the contact of the kerb bar to the builders upstand.

Pre-machined holes and slots throughout maintain the integrity of the components, providing fast, easy assembly.
