Secure & Regulation-Compliant Installation

The Mardome Trade AOV smoke vent is supplied with a 100mm vertical direct-fix kerb, designed for mounting onto a 200mm high builder’s upstand.

When installed in accordance with installation guides, the unit achieves:

• Class B non-fragility to ACR[M]001

• Class B-s1,d0 to BS EN 13501-1

• Regarded as BROOF(t4) under Building Regulations

This ensures the unit meets key safety and building regulations requirements for commercial and residential applications.

Fast, Reliable Operation in an Emergency

This AOV smoke vent is fitted with a factory-installed 24V electrical actuator that opens the vent to 140° in under 60 seconds, allowing smoke and heat to be released quickly in the event of a fire.

To ensure correct operation, the unit must be used with a control panel system. Optional accessories include:

• Control panel system

• Fire switch

• Fireman’s priority switch

• Smoke detector

We strongly recommend checking whether a control panel is already installed or adding one to your order to avoid delays during installation.

Thermal Performance & Energy Efficiency

Available in double or triple skin configurations, this AOV smoke vent offers strong thermal performance, with U-values as low as 1.8 W/m²K. This helps reduce heat loss and supports energy efficiency, particularly during colder months.

Glazing Specification

• 3mm impact-resistant Marlon FSX polycarbonate outer dome (UV protective coating on both sides)

• 2mm impact-resistant Marlon FS polycarbonate inner domes (for double or triple skin options)

Opening Options: Powered & Manual 

The Mardome Trade AOV smoke vent supports both powered opening and manual opening. Powered opening uses a 24V actuator for fast, reliable emergency performance. Manual opening options are also available for everyday comfort ventilation.

These opening options make the unit suitable alongside a fixed rooflight or as a standalone smoke vent. The full Mardome Trade range also includes access hatch options to complement your installation.
