Our Skyseal Flat Glass Powered Access Hatch captures natural daylight whilst providing safe, easy access to roof spaces for maintenance or to open up roof spaces for terraces and roof gardens. Choose from a variety of sizes available in as little as 7 days!
Upgrade your home with a spacious area for daylight and ventilation using this access hatch. Its modern and stylish design features a slimline powder-coated frame and a flush-fitting glass panel.
Laminated Glass
Our Skyseal products only have glazing units with laminated inner panes for protection from falling glass if accidentally broken, for the safety of those below the rooflight.
In addition, a laminated inner pane is essential for non-fragile rooflights.
High Security and Safety
Our Skyseal Flat Glass Access Hatch units feature a glazed top that is secured to the opening frame by self-drilling security screws, which are then concealed by colour matched cover tops.
The opening frame is mounted on concealed hinges, and operated by actuators with a locking force of 4kN which can only be operated from the inside, providing optimal security and safety for your home.
Fast and Easy Installation
The tapered kerb foot simplifies installation by eliminating the need for timber fillets. Furthermore, an integrated clamp secures the roofing membrane in position, offering a neat exterior finish suitable for all types of roofs.
Additional Extras
These units are all supplied with 24V tandem actuators and a 300mm high PVC kerb. Additionally, you can choose to include the optional 230V AC to 24V DC transformer with rocker switch or a wind and rain sensor.

Why is an aluminium frame important?
Added Structural Strength
Our highly-developed Aluminium frame provides extra strength and rigidity, minimising structural movement in the skylight once installed, which significantly reduces the chances of failure.
Extra Damage Protection
The aluminium frame acts as a protective layer, encapsulating the glass at its weakest points to prevent accidental damage that would otherwise shatter the glass.
Enhanced Home Security
Incorporating tamper-proof fixings alongside silicone sealant provide added security to your home, ensuring it remains safe and protected.
Extra Glass Support
The frame is key in providing extra support to the glass, ensuring the glass stays in place in the event of damage or shattering.
Low-e solar glass has a special coating which reflects heat back to the source. This means your room will stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer
What is a U-value?
Thermal transmittance, also known as U-value, is a measure of heat loss through the structure. It is measured in W/m2K. The lower the value, the better the insulation.
The UK Building Regulations require a maximum of 2.2 W/m2K in existing dwellings and an average of 1.2 - 1.7 W/m2K for new dwellings on rooflights.
