What is a U-value?
U-value measures heat loss through building elements like skylights, expressed in W/m²K, with lower values indicating better insulation. UK Building Regulations require maximum values of 2.2 W/m²K for existing homes and 1.2-1.7 W/m²K for new construction skylights Learn More
What is Solar Heat Reflection?
Solar Heat Reflection measures a skylight's ability to return solar energy to the atmosphere rather than allowing it to enter your home, with higher percentage values indicating greater effectiveness at keeping interior spaces cooler during warm weather. Learn More
What is Light Transmission?
Light Transmission is the percentage of visible light that passes through a skylight's glazing, with higher percentages allowing more natural daylight into your living space, potentially reducing the need for artificial lighting and creating a brighter interior environment. Learn More

Slimline Frame Comparison
Why is an aluminium frame important?
Added Structural Strength
Our highly-developed Aluminium frame provides extra strength and rigidity, minimising structural movement in the skylight once installed, which significantly reduces the chances of failure.
Extra Damage Protection
The aluminium frame acts as a protective layer, encapsulating the glass at its weakest points to prevent accidental damage that would otherwise shatter the glass.
Enhanced Home Security
Incorporating tamper-proof fixings alongside silicone sealant provide added security to your home, ensuring it remains safe and protected.
Extra Glass Support
The frame is key in providing extra support to the glass, ensuring the glass stays in place in the event of damage or shattering.
